STREET TALK: Wilks Avenue with Lily

– Hi, it’s Lily from PRD Wagga. Welcome back for another episode of Street Talk.

This week we’re in Wilks Avenue in Kooringal. Let’s take a look around. Wilks Avenue is named after John William Wilks who was the original secretary of Wagga Wagga Flood Warning Association formed in 1932. Mr. Wilks, also known as Jack, held the position of flood warning officer for over 30 years. He was a licensed auctioneer, spent a lifetime associated with livestock industry, and in later years, was manager of stock and station agency of Younghusband Ltd, Wagga Wagga branch, conducted in Guild Street. John Wilks was also presented with a Community Service Award in recognition of his voluntary flood warning activities. Wilks Park in North Wagga was also named after him.

Currently, PRD has 15 Wilks Avenue listed for sale at 439,000 with Ryan Smith. You can contact him today for a private inspection.
