Community Feedback Sought on Riverside Precinct Upgrade

The Community’s vision to transform the Wagga Beach precinct has taken another step forward with feedback needed on the concept designs for the Riverside Stage 2 Project.

The $6.7million project works for Stage 2 will see the entire precinct from the beach carpark through to St Michaels Oval rejuevenated, building on the success of the $1million Stage works completed in 2014-2015.

The key items for Riverside stage 2 are:

  • Car Parking Upgrade: Trees for shade, CCTV and lighting
  • Container Food & Beverage Outlets: modified containers to provide flexible food and beverage opportunities that are removable during flood.
  • Event Spaces: Large, medium and small spaces to cater for wide range of events which can be used individually or combined for major events.
  • Playground & Water Play: A large destination playground with water play elements that will be designed to ensure minimum impact during flood.

The Community is asked to provide feedback on the design concept for Stage 2 until 1 June 2019.
