The Community’s vision to transform the Wagga Beach precinct has taken another step forward with feedback needed on the concept designs for the Riverside Stage 2 Project.
The $6.7million project works for Stage 2 will see the entire precinct from the beach carpark through to St Michaels Oval rejuevenated, building on the success of the $1million Stage works completed in 2014-2015.
The key items for Riverside stage 2 are:
- Car Parking Upgrade: Trees for shade, CCTV and lighting
- Container Food & Beverage Outlets: modified containers to provide flexible food and beverage opportunities that are removable during flood.
- Event Spaces: Large, medium and small spaces to cater for wide range of events which can be used individually or combined for major events.
- Playground & Water Play: A large destination playground with water play elements that will be designed to ensure minimum impact during flood.
The Community is asked to provide feedback on the design concept for Stage 2 until 1 June 2019.
